About

Trenton Blume

Trenton Blume writes epic fantasy with a focus on gods, government, and gramarye. His work explores how faith, politics, and history affect characters' emotions and relationships, often in ways they never notice.

He lives in Colorado, where he works as a software engineer. He makes independent video games for the joy of it, studied Japanese for years (because why not?), and has a full arm sleeve of tattoos from all the fantasy novels that made him want to write his own.

He has been writing books since elementary school, finishing his first chapter book, “Timothy Mouse,” in the fourth grade. His first epic fantasy novel was completed in 2020 and his second the following year. Then came the first draft of Two Suns Eclipsed, and the world of Esorinth has owned him ever since.

The hours away from his desk mostly belong to the gym. He fell for bodybuilding hard enough to compete, and aspires to earn his pro card one day. Lifting with his headphones on and phone on silent is as close as he gets to meditation. Many of his best writing ideas arrive between sets.

His home fits firmly into small zoo territory. Three dogs—a German Shepherd, Mini Aussie, and Shih Tzu—live there, along with a devious cat that rules the place. Trenton is allowed to stay, under the cat's careful supervision. He loves coming home every day to sloppy dog kisses and a cat that pretends it doesn't care, but is always somehow in his line of sight.
